I DREAM OF RABBITS
R&D on HIV Denial by Eduardo Arcelus

About the play
I DREAM OF RABBITS tells the story of Pedro and Lucas, a gay migrant couple in London whose relationship deteriorates as a result of Lucas going down rabbit holes of misinformation and conspiracy theories, putting at risk his own health and that of his unsuspecting partner. It is based on my own experiences with a covert HIV-denier ex-boyfriend.
My pitch for this play was selected as part of the Encuentros: Latinx Creators Takeover at the Young Vic in February this year, where we had one day of R&D and a Q&A with other Latinx Creatives. The response was a positive one, with those attending wishing to know more about the R&D's future and a staff member at the Young Vic adding the pitch was selected due to its urgent themes and clear ambitions.

Praise for FALKLAND SOUND at the RSC:
“There 's even the well-meaning
Argentinian researcher Gabriel, played
by scene-stealing Eduardo Arcelus…”
"Eduardo Arcelus is strong as
Argentinian national Gabriel... Arcelus’ committed performance conveys all the
paranoia and isolation wearing Gabriel
down.” - The Stage.
